Mr. Gediminas Kirkilas, Prime Minister of Lithuania
Prime Minister of Lithuania, Mr. Gediminas Kirkilas (born 1951), was a member of the Lithuanian parliament in the period 1992–2004, serving both as Chairman of the Committee on National Security and Defence as well as the Committee on Foreign Relations. In these functions, he has represented the Lithuanian Social Democratic Labour Party in governing majority. In 2004, he was appointed Minister of National Defence and in 2006 Prime Minister of Lithuania.
