The Norwegian Defence Command and Staff College (NDCSC), the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (FFI) and the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) have the pleasure of inviting you to the seminar:
“Counterinsurgency (COIN) - when Theory meets Reality”
Norwegian experiences in COIN are limited. Still, the current efforts through the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan resemble what military theory often describes as COIN. Future deployments may also involve COIN operations and will present Norwegian soldiers and officers with challenges not specifically treated in current doctrine and training programs.
