CUTS International is a civil society organisation headquartered in Jaipur, India, focusing on research and advocacy on trade, regulation and governance. Since 2007, a main cooperation activity between NUPI and CUTS has been the GRANITE II project (“Grassroots Reachout & Networking in India on Trade & Economics, Phase 2”, supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy, New Delhi and Novib (Oxfam, Netherlands). The project is implemented in eight Indian states and focuses on globalisation and its impact on the Indian economy at the national and regional level, and the rationale for civil society involvement in inclusive trade policy formulation. At the seminar, some of the findings and achievements of the GRANITE project will be presented.
