[06.04.11] Peacekeeping Vision 2015: Capabilities for Future Mandates
The Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI), the United Service Institution (USI) of India and UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations (DPKO), will co-organize, in cooperation with the Governments of India and Norway, an international conference in New Delhi from 6-8 of April.
The conference is part of the project Peacekeeping Vision 2015: Capabilities for Future Mandates.
The initiative seeks to link policy development and related efforts at the strategic level to operational practice in the field by exploring the capabilities needed to respond to changing requirements. Special attention will be given to the topics of operationalization of protection of civilians, including conflict-related sexual violence, as well as operational standards for infantry battalions in United Nations peacekeeping operations.
Attendance at this event is by invitation only.
Interested parties can contact Mikkel F. Pedersen at Nupi.
