[02.11.09] Russlandsavdelingens årskonferanse 2009
The Department of Russian and Eurasian Studies at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs has the pleasure of inviting you to the conference
How Russia Decides:
Actors, Processes and Critical Moments in Russia’s Encounter with Globalisation
Issues of heavy interdependence – transboundary environmental problems, migration, and trade to name just a few – have traditionally occupied a low priority position on the Russian foreign policy agenda. Yet the increasing importance of these issues and linkages to "classical" high political concerns have made them impossible to ignore. Conference speakers will analyse policy making processes and examine governing logics in Moscow when it comes to coping with the interdependence that characterises international relations today. In other words, how do Russia’s foreign policy actors and institutions step up to the political challenges of the 21st century?
