”Innovation, Technology and Productivity Performance in Norwegian Firms (1995-2004)” by Jinghai Zheng and Fulvio Castellaci
Abstract:
We use firm level data to investigate the effectiveness of innovation activities in Norwegian industries. We first estimate and decompose productivity growth into technical progress and technical efficiency change components. We then test how innovation activities affect total factor productivity and its components in order to distinguish effective innovation activities from those that may not be so effective.
