[28.08.12] The role of infrastructure for Asian growth: Results from spatial economics analysis.

The Norwegian Institute of International Affairs, NUPI, has the pleasure of inviting you to a seminar:

The role of infrastructure for Asian growth: Results from spatial economics analysis
Infrastructure plays a key role for development and varies greatly across continents; e.g. Europe has an extensive road and rail network while Africa’s growth is hampered by the lack of infrastructure. Asia is an intermediate case and deliberate attempts are made to stimulate growth by means of regional infrastructure development.

Researchers Kazunobu Hayakawa and Kenmei Tsubota from IDE-JETRO (Institute of Developing Economies – Japan’s External Trade Organization) will present recent research on the impact of infrastructure development in Asia.
