Iceland, Norway and the EC Common Fisheries Policy
The potential of the reform – a springboard for Iceland and Norway?
Oslo, NUPI | 120 sider
The Report "Iceland, Norway and the EC Common Fisheries Policy" forms part of a series of studies presented on the 20th of June 2003 by “Tenketank Europa” (Thinktank Europe), which is a collaborative effort between The Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI) and the Institute of International Affairs for Small States Studies at the University of Iceland in Reykjavik.
This report deals with the Fisheries sector in particular. It discusses the possibility that – in case of a political agreement to explore the option of membership, or in any other way to attempt a closer integration with the EU also on fisheries policies – Norway and Iceland could propose a new fisheries’ regime in the North East Atlantic Area.
