The aim of the project is to further strengthen the capacity of Central Asian and South Caucasian think tanks to operate as arenas for rigorous and independent analysis and to participate in political debate (both domestically and internationally). Project researchers (28) will be selected through a competitive application process. Emphasis will be placed on supporting research proposals that outline conceptually and methodologically rigorous research relating to policy challenges facing participants' home countries.
During the course of the project, two training/networking events will be held (an advanced training workshop in Almaty 21-24 October 2010 and a concluding workshop in March 2011).
