“Grassroots Reachout and Networking in India on Trade and Economics” (GRANITE Phase II) is a project undertaken jointly by NUPI and CUTS - a think-tank headquartered in Jaipur, India focusing on international trade, economics and the environment. The project is implemented in eight Indian states, and aims at stimulating research, dialogue and awareness about the local impact of globalisation and trade. In particular, the project has a focus on India's trade policy and how this can promoted growth and poverty reduction at the local level. NUPI contributes with research on the impact of international trade on regional inequality and poverty in India. In addition to research, several conferences and workshops are arranged in India and Norway.
