The study is conducted in two phases: The first aims at mapping the theoretical concept and seminal writings over the last few years, and explore the extent to which the international community has been able to distil and implement best practices in the field. The second will be an assessment of knowledge and an analysis of the realm between the military strategy, operations and training, on the one hand, and developmental and humanitarian projects on the other.
