Civilian Capacity

 
 


Civilian Capacity refers to a concerted effort to identify, prepare and mobilize civilians for international peace mission roles, whether these are bilateral, regional or multilateral, e.g. via the United Nations or the European Union.

NUPI is involved in several initiatives related to the broader Civilian Capacity theme, including:

  1. United Nations: Civilian Capacity in the Aftermath of Conflict
  2. Civilian Capacity for Peace Operations in a Changing World Order
  3. The International Capacity Research Initiative (ICRI)
  4. Civilian Capacity in India: Mobilizing Civilian Expertise for International Deployments
  5. Norwegian Civilian Capacity
