- Feb-Sep 2011: John Karlsrud was hired as a consultant by the Norwegian Peacebuilding Centre to support the Norwegian government in developing a national strategy civilian crisis management. This included arranging and facilitating a series of meetings for the Norwegian actors involved in rostering and training of civilians for deployment to international crises; drafting inputs for a new Norwegian civilian crisis management strategy; and publishing a policy brief for the Norwegian Peacebuilding Centre (NOREF).
