Randi Solhjell
Former employeeRandi Solhjell is a senior research fellow at NUPI working in particular on gender and international peace operations.
Her publications at NUPI include topics such as sexual violence in war, gender and security, militaries masculinities and peacekeeping. She is also an expert on local governance practices in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and holds a PhD from the London School of Economics. The title of her PhD thesis is Dimensions of statehood: A study of public goods in Bukavu, the Democratic Republic of Congo. Solhjell has a background in peace and conflict studies and development studies.
