Nation-state cyber threat actors are conducting operations against the networks of public and private sector entities in the region to steal sensitive information. However, international cyber operators have also demonstrated the capability and intent to conduct attacks that destroy data and impact the functioning of critical infrastructure.

NUPI invites you to a strategic intelligence briefing by Patrik Maldre, Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst at FireEye. He will talk about cyber threat actors, in particular the Russia-nexus actors, and the dangers they pose to Nordic security. He will also discuss the role that cyber intelligence plays in supporting both strategic leaders and tactical defenders as they protect networks in the region against these cyber operations.

Research Fellow at NUPI Lilly Pijnenburg Muller will be Discussant to the talk.

Chair is Senior Research Fellow, Head of NUPI's Cyber Security Centre, Niels Nagelhus Schia.
