Challenges in Science and innovation for development: The Cuban Experience

Scientific and technological development represents one major priority in Cuba's development model. Fidel Castro Diaz-Balart, Scientific Advisor of the State Council in Cuba will discuss the country's achievements and challenges ahead in this area. Dr. Diaz-Balart, son of Fidel Castro, is an eminent scientist in Cuba in the field of energy, and also an expert on the role of science for development.

NUPI has an ongoing project about policy options for Cuba's development.
