Summary

Andreas Lind Kroknes works as a Junior Research Fellow in the Research Group on Peace, Conflict and Development.

Kroknes completed his Master's degree in Political Science at the University of Oslo in the spring of 2022. His master's thesis dealt with the issue of power transition and political stability in Chad in the wake of the death of Idriss Déby.

His interests include issues of peace and conflict, state-building, takeover in authoritarian and fragile states, and great power rivalry in Africa. The Sahel region separating southern and northern Africa is Kroknes' main focus.
