Peder Østebø is a Graduate Research Fellow in the Research Group on Global Order and Diplomacy and NUPI's strategic institute initiative Norwegian Foreign Policy in an era of Climate Change and Geopolitical Tensions.
He is currently a master student in global history at the Free University and Humboldt University of Berlin, and a master student in political science at the University of Oslo. In his current thesis project, he explores the trajectories of Venezuelan human rights movements in the 1990s and 2000s. His primary research interests are international norms, and the influence of historical currents such as decolonization, development, and democratization on international society.
