Filippa Sofia Braarud is a Graduate Research Fellow in the Research Group on Russia, Asia and International Trade at NUPI. She is an MA candidate in International Security at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) in Moscow and Sciences Po in Paris.

Braarud has previous experience as a student trainee at the Royal Norwegian Consulate General in Murmansk, Russia and worked as a justice technology intern at the HiiL Rechtwijzer Technology in The Hague.

Her research interests lie in the field of politics and identity in the former Soviet space, the High North and Arctic Governance, as well as new emerging technologies and cybersecurity.
