Since the turn of the millennium Russia has gravitated back towards a top-down model of governance with pollical power being concentrated in the Moscow. However, important reforms are taking place at the regional level. At this seminar, which marks the conclusion of the NRC funded project “Local government budgeting reforms in Russia: Implications and Tensions (BUDRUS)”, the researchers will discuss recent public management reforms in Russia and their potential implications.
