Since the conflict in Ukraine erupted in 2014 questions have been asked about how Georgia will navigate its position as a country in Russia’s 'near abroad' striving for integration in Western institutions. New parliamentary elections in Georgia are fast approaching. How is Georgian foreign policy decided and what are this country’s broad foreign policy options? Will it matter who wins the elections?

Join us in this webinar where Dr. Kornely Kakachia and Dr. Julie Wilhelmsen will discuss these questions.

Dr. Kornely Kakachia is Professor of Political Science at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, Georgia, and Director of Tbilisi based think tank Georgian Institute of Politics.

This webinar is part of the project GEOPATH.
