The Norwegian Institute of International Affairs has the great pleasure of inviting you to the Military power seminar 2012.

Threat perceptions and NATO's neighborhood - what threatens Norway?

This year's Military Power seminar looks into how regional security concerns are being attended to through NATO initiatives. What are the dominant threat perceptions and how is NATO equipped to deal with them? How has the implementation of the 2010 strategic concept responded to the debates about a better balance between national and international defence?

Furthermore, we probe how Norwegian concerns and needs are accommodated through NATO and through more targeted Norwegian policies and investigate the nature of present and, possibly, future threats to the security of NATO and its members.
