Jeffrey D. Kahn, Assistant Professor of Law, Southern Methodist University, Dallas

Professor Kahn teaches and writes on Russian law, human rights and counterterrorism. His doctoral dissertation Federalism, Democratization, and the Rule of Law in Russia
(2002) was published by Oxford University Press. In his lecture, Professor Kahn will focus on Russian legal reform and, in particular, the adoption of the Russian Criminal Procedure Code, which was the most fundamental reform within criminal procedure in Russia since the 1917 Revolution.
