What is the impact of the war in Ukraine on the Russian economy and the Russian energy sector? How are sanctions affecting the Russian economy? Russia is the world’s largest exporter of fossil fuels—how is its approach to global decarbonization and climate change shifting?

These are some of the questions that will be addressed at The Russia Conference 2022.

Norwegian minister of Foreign Affairs Anniken Huitfeldt will open the event.

The conference is the main annual event on Russian affairs in Norway and will bring together prominent Norwegian and international participants with a professional interest in Russia. This year the conference is organized jointly by NUPI and the Fridtjof Nansen Institute, and it is a part of the KODAK project.

The event will take place on 15 November 2022 at House of Literature in Oslo, from 09:00 to 12:40 CET.

The conference will also be streamed to NUPI's YouTube channel. No registration is required for those who will join us online.
