The project is commissioned by the World Bank and seeks to better understand how the interplay between international actors and domestic political actors affects efforts to prevent violent conflict.
We will map established practices for conflict prevention and conduct case-specific analyses of a select few countries to assess how different conceptions of legitimacy among international and local actors conditions the success of conflict prevention measures.
