Access to energy is decisive for economic growth and security, but also implications for climate change and local pollution problems.
Energy issues of particular relevance for Norway are the petroleum sector and renewable energy. NUPI’s research on energy issues is coordinated by the institute’s Energy Programme. This programme, established in 2006, is a cross-cutting activity in which NUPI’s other organizational units are also involved.
