The Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI), in cooperation with the Embassy of Poland, has the pleasure of inviting you to a lecture with Professor Leszek Balcerowicz, former Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and former Chairman of the National Bank of Poland.
Post-Communist Transformation in Europe in a Comparative Perspective
Leszek Balcerowicz is professor of economics, former chairman of the National Bank of Poland and Deputy Prime Minister in Tadeusz Mazowiecki's government. He is renowned for having implemented the Polish economic transformation programme, commonly known as “the shock therapy” in the 1990s.
