Henrik Stålhane Hiim

Senior Research Fellow

Henrik Stålhane Hiim is associated as senior Research Fellow to NUPI's Research group on Russia, Asia and International Trade. He is associate professor at the Norwegian Institute for Defence Studies' Center for International Security.

Hiim completed his PhD at the University of Oslo in 2016. His dissertation explores China’s approach to the nuclear programs of Pakistan, Iran, and North Korea. Hiim is a former Stanton nuclear security fellow at MIT, and has been a guest researcher at Beijing University. Hiims book Strategic Assistance: China and International Nuclear Weapons Proliferation (Routledge 2018) analyze China's policy on the nuclear programs of Pakistan, Iran and North Korea.
