Thea Willoch Njaastad
Thea Willoch Njaastad is a Master’s student at MF School of Theology, Religion and Society, writing her thesis on religious peacebuilding in South Sudan. Njaastad is part of the Research Group on Peace, Conflict and Development at NUPI.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Politics from the University of Bergen, including a semester at SOAS University of London. Her research interests include peace processes and peace operations, state and nation-building, and religion and identity. Njaastad has experience from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Norwegian Embassy in Ethiopia. She has also worked in civil society, with youth, peace and security, inclusive decision-making processes and academic freedom.
