Event

The seminar will examine the European Green Deal’s regulatory trajectory, the recently approved 2040 energy and climate targets of the European Union, Norway’s material and political contributions, and the challenges of policy coordination across borders.

With perspectives from the European Commission, Norwegian researchers, and a European member state, the discussion will illuminate both the promise and complexity of Norway’s role in Europe’s green transformation.

The event is organized jointly by NUPI and the Include research centre for socially just energy transitions at the University of Oslo. It is connected to the project "Norway and the EU undergoing change" at NUPI and the project "Norway in European energy transition governance" at Include.
