Summary
Altynai Klimova is a Visiting Research Fellow from the OSCE Academy and will work with the Research Group on Climate and Energy. She holds a Master’s degree in Economic Governance and Development from the OSCE Academy. Her master’s thesis examined gender dynamics in the Kyrgyz labor market, including a crucial factor influencing employment for women in Kyrgyzstan, with a particular focus on the impact of first childbirth on female labor force participation.
She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management in Economics from the Kyrgyz Economic University. Her professional background includes experience in social and development projects within non-governmental organizations, particularly in the areas of youth and education. She completed an internship at the OSCE Secretariat in Vienna, Austria, and has also worked at the State Civil Aviation Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic. Her research interests include research methods, policy analysis, and development economics at both the micro- and macroeconomic levels.
