Gabriella Kristine Kattil Bolstad
Gabriella Kristine Bolstad is a Junior Research Fellow in NUPI’s Research Group on Security and Defence. Additionally, Bolstad is working in the Consortium for Research on Terrorism and International Crime.
Bolstad holds a master’s degree in International Conflict Studies from the Department of War Studies at King’s College London and a bachelor’s degree in International Politics from the Department of International Politics at Aberystwyth University. Additionally, she studied risk analysis and counter-terrorism at the University of Stavanger.
Bolstads master’s thesis focused on the securitisation of jihadist foreign fighter returnees and the reintegration challenge. Bolstads research interests consists of violent extremism and terrorism, radicalisation-related risk assessment, China in international politics, geopolitics and the international governance in the Arctic.
