Thea Virginia McConnell

Summary

Thea is a research assistant at NUPI in the Research group for defense and security, and a master’s student in political science at the University of Oslo. 

Her master's thesis examines hybrid threats and Russian information operations by using machine learning techniques to analyse Russian narratives online. 

Her interests include security policy, autocratic regimes, and quantitative methods. 

She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Oslo and has previously worked as a project assistant at NIFU.
