Summary
Anna Chebotarova is a sociologist specialising in collective memory, identity, and societal dynamics in wartime, with a regional focus on Ukraine and Eastern Europe.
She holds a PhD in Area Studies from the University of Oslo. Anna works as a Senior Lecturer at the University of Oslo, teaching Ukrainian language, culture, and history. She is also a Researcher at NUPI on the project “From ability to defend to willingness to defend – What can Norway learn from Ukraine?”.
She has published on topics including collective memory in Ukraine, the politics of history after Euromaidan, and regional diversity in Ukrainian identity formation.
