Nordisk Østforum is the only Scandinavian-language journal focusing on political, economic and cultural developments in Eastern Europe and the post-Soviet area.
Nordisk Østforum is an academic journal and publishes peer-reviewed articles as well as book reviews.
Nordisk Østforum was first published in 1986, and is now an open access journal published by Nordic Open Access Scholary Publishing (NOASP), Cappelen Damm Akademisk, together with NUPI’s research group for Russia, Eurasia and the Arctic, the institute of Eurasian studies at Uppsala University and the Aleksanteri Institute (Finland).
The journal is published in a deigital format four times a year, and the target group is researchers and students of social sciences, humanities and area studies in Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland, and everyone interested in the journal’s thematic and geographic scope.
