Cyber Security and Global Interdependence: What is critical?
The fabric of modern life – at the individual, national and international levels – is increasingly dependent on a multitude of interconnected and interdependent infrastructures. While services such as food, water, health and transport have always been critical for human survival, their delivery is increasingly enmeshed with communications infrastructure and cyberspace more broadly.

In this seminar, Dave Clemente from Chatham House will present a new report on cyber security. It addresses questions such as: Where are the critical points within the complex systems and networks of infrastructure we are dependent on? How can the appropriate level of cyber security be determined, so as not to spend too much or too little? Nils Kalstad Svendsen and Håkon Styri will comment, followed by a session of Q&A.

Dave Clemente is a research associate in the leading British think tank Chatham House, department for international security.

Håkon Styri is a senior advisor in the Norwegian National Security Authority. Nils Kalstad Svendsen is head of the Norwegian Information Security Lab at Gjøvik University College.
