Specialised Advance Stabilisation Course supported by the Training for Peace project

A five-day specialised advance stabilisation course supported by the Training for Peace project was held in Ghana, Accra and put on by the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre from 18 – 22 October 2021.

The Course aims at enhancing the capacity and effectiveness of AU Staff at headquarters (PAPS) Missions and Liaison offices in the planning, support and managing of stabilization interventions through transfer of knowledge and skills reflecting new developments in Stabilisation.

The training provides participants with a comprehensive, conceptual and operational level understanding concepts, principles, procedures and up-to-date practices relating to the planning support and management of stabilisation programmes across the continent as well as good practices from missions outside the continent.

Participants are drawn from Political Affairs and Peace and Security Department, African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), Office of the African Union High Representative to Mali and the Sahel (MISAHEL), AU Civilian Officers at the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) in Chad, MISAC; AMISS.
